ENTREPRENEURSHIP: MISSION-DRIVEN COMPANIES

I was honored to be asked to moderate a panel discussion on “Mission-driven Companies” at the 2013 Bioneers Conference.

Bioneers is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to exploring and promoting breakthrough solutions for restoring people and the planet. They produce a popular annual conference in the San Francisco Bay Area that hosts powerful thought leaders like Michael Pollan, Danny Glover, Annie Leonard and many more compelling names.

The panel consisted of local luminaries and founders of some of my favorite brands:

  • Matthew Engelhart, co-founder of San Francisco vegan restaurants Gracias Madre and Café Gratitude, big favorites among locals
  • John Roulac, Founder and CEO of Nutiva, purveyors of hemp, coconut and chia superfoods
  • Mary Waldner and Dale Rodrigues, Founders of Mary’s Gone Crackers, a company I am proud to sit on the adivsory board of

I look forward to next year’s Bioneers, celebrating 25 years!
