Bringing together people with bright, noble, world-changing ideas is always a joy for me, so connecting Paul Hawken, Sadhguru and the topic of Socially Conscious Business—and producing their conversation in partnership with San Francisco’s Commonwealth Club—was an invigorating coup. Paul Hawken is a passionate environmental entrepreneur, author, and civil rights activist—an expert on socially conscious business. He has written four national bestsellers, including The Ecology of Commerce, Natural Capitalism, Growing a Business, and Blessed Unrest. Sadhguru is an Indian spiritual leader, visionary humanitarian, and mystic. He was named one of “India’s 50 Most Powerful People” by India Today Magazine. He has addressed audiences on issues as diverse as socio-economic development, corporate responsibility, leadership, and spirituality and is the founder of Isha Foundation and Isha Vidhya —an organization very close to my heart, providing quality education in rural India.
Paul and Sadhguru graciously agreed to a post-event meet-and-greet where inspired minds lingered for informal conversation with delectable bites from Dosa Restaurant and live music from a classical Indian trio. These post-event receptions are always powerful places to reinforce ideas integral to the event and foster connection, inspiration, and global change.
